Organic clothing — a return to safe and sustainable practices

The concept of "Go Green" highly favors organic agriculture to protect the health of people and the planet by reducing the overall exposure to toxic chemicals from synthetic pesticides that can end up in the ground, air, water and food supply, and that are associated with health consequences, from asthma to cancer. During the conversion of conventional cotton into clothing, numerous toxic chemicals are added at each stage - silicone waxes, harsh petroleum scours, softeners, brighteners, heavy metals, flame and soil retardants, ammonia and formaldehyde etc. which cause adverse effect on the environment. Developmental damage, respiratory problems, leukemia, allergies, eye irritation, and nervous system depression have all been linked to these industrial chemicals.

On the other hand, Organic cotton is grown with natural fertilizers to reduce the environmental impact of clothing production. Mechanical cultivation and biological means are used to control pests and weeds. Clothes made from organic cotton are pure, natural and more breathable for delicate skin like baby skin. Organic baby clothing is super soft against the skin and therefore very comfortable to wear, making it ideal for babies and children.
