Brigantine, New Jersey - the Perfect Distance From Everything
The City of Brigantine, New Jersey is a small beach community directly north of Atlantic City. The entire city is on a barrier island. Atlantic City is a very popular tourist destination which can satisfy almost everyone. But due to the high traffic and popularity of Atlantic City, some people may argue that it doesn't have the "Beach Town" atmosphere. It is also a little bit more louder and higher paced than some of the other Jersey Shore towns.
Brigantine is the perfect place for a vacation if you want to experience Atlantic City, but you also desire a "Beach Town" experience. It is a five minute drive from Atlantic City. Most of the casinos have large parking garages with ample parking (some may charge a fee). If you prefer not to drive, there is public transportation that will take you from Brigantine to Atlantic City. I like to think of Brigantine as the "Best of both worlds." You have all of the night life of Atlantic City minutes away, while you stay in a small quiet beach town. Brigantine beach has a great view of Atlantic City. While relaxing on the beach in Brigantine you will be able to view the beautiful Atlantic City skyline.
Brigantine is filled with many other activities. There is a golf course on the island along with basketball and tennis courts. If you own a four wheel drive vehicle, Brigantine is one of the only Jersey Shore locations that will allow you to drive on the beach (permit required). On nice days, you will see people driving their vehicles on the beach. This is limited to a small section of the beach, not the entire beach. There is also an ample supply of restaurants and other stores on the island. Most necessities that you may need while on vacation can be purchased on the island.
If you're looking for somewhere to stay in Brigantine, there are some small hotels on the island. The most popular choices for vacationers are Brigantine Vacation Rentals. Rental homes usually provide the best value since you get many of the same amenities that you have at home. The pricing on the rentals in Brigantine is also very attractive since in most situations multiple families can share a rental for the week.

Why college basketball jerseys?
